A treachery of sounds/the wind and a song (one long prologue that takes up an entirety of a book) lambasts the volume and resonance of Voice as a character. Voice as a character or anti-character, as to say, is a person's place in space and time in continuum sonically.
None of that really means as much as a book you read once you eventually forgot about.

But what happens when you tear out the page in the book completely, erase the space, the face, the canvas beneath him? Can he, will he, find himself again? Maybe in his lovers? Maybe in his friends? Maybe in the glimmer and gleam of your flickering eye?

The page gets reformatted, reconformed, recontextualized, and put in a new book with new stories and new rhymes. Lost in the echo chamber of Voice and identity, the reader (whom looks and acts a lot like you) may wince for a while and then look deeper for just a spell.

An entire history, an entire past, an entire meaning just gets dog-eared, tucked and folded away, aghast with the wind, lost at sea, a crinkled up piece of paper among the litter and plastic bottles. What does the story mean? Who is that character? A silhouette of someone you thought you knew?

When you left me, foggy and blue the
